ಬೀರೂರು ಪುರಸಭೆಯ ಕಿರುಪರಿಚಯ : -

* ಬೀರೂರು ಪುರಸಭೆಯು 01/09 /1912 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಯಾಯಿತು.

* ಬೀರೂರು ಪುರಸಭೆಯು ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 47 ಕಿಲೋ ಮೀಟರ್ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತದೆ.

* 2011 ರ ಜನಗಣತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಬೀರೂರು ಪಟ್ಟಣವು 22742 ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುತ್ತದೆ.

* ಬೀರೂರು ಪುರಸಭಾ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ  23 ವಾರ್ಡ್ ಗಳಿದ್ದು 23 ಚುನಾಯಿತ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಹಾಗೂ 5 ನಾಮ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಿತ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.

* ಬೀರೂರು ಪುರಸಭೆಯ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯು ಒಟ್ಟು 5.70 ಚದರ ಕಿಲೋ ಮೀಟರ್ ಗಳಿರುತ್ತದೆ.

 Brief Introduction of Birur TMC : -

* The Town Muncipal Council was started in 01/09/1912

* It has the distance of 47 KM from District Head Quarter Chikmagalur

* It has a population of 22742 as per 2011 Census

* The TMC has 23 wards and equal number of councilors and 5 numbers of nominee councilors

* Birur TMC stretches up to an area of 5.70 Sq. Kms.
